      Annapolis Endocrinology

I totally agree with the previous review. I have been going to this office since around 2000. I go twice a year, every year. 99% of the time, I wait for more than an hour to be seen by a doc. The doctors are ok, but rushed. My biggest complaint is the staff. Most of the girls that are behind the counter are nasty. It got better for a while, but it came back. When you call and leave a message, it takes DAYS for them to call you back. I recently moved out of state, but signed a records release form for when I found a new Endocrinologist. I found the new doc. They wanted a referral from Dr. BowenWright and my last labs. I called three times over the course of 3 weeks and left very detailed messages asking them to fax these items so I could get started with the new doc. NO ONE called me back. I had the new doc's office call them finally and they denied that they ever heard from me. My neice used this office for a short while, but couldn't stand the NASTY GIRLS and thier disrespectful attitude. She left. Stay away.

        Terrible

I cannot believe the lack of professionalism, care and customer service at this office. They have a policy that they will not call in a prescription to the pharmacy. In order to get any needed medication, the patient has to call the office, leave a message, wait three days, then drive over to the office to pick it up. I had my thyroid removed in 2007, therefore I need synthroid to survive. I have now been attempting to get a refill for 11 days to no avail. I called in a prescription refill to my pharmacist on Tuesday, July 6th. Since I had no refills left I requested that the pharmacist contact my doctor. (I have given up attempting to reach her long ago.) I gave the pharmacist 48 hours, then went to the pharmacy to pick up my medicine. I was told that he had attempted to reach my doctor three times (once a day) and no one had gotten back to him. I then called the office and was forced to leave a message. I stated that I had no medicine, could not live without it, needed a refill immediately, and could be reached at my number. The following Tuesday (day 8) I called again when I had heard nothing. I was forced once again to leave a message. When I received no return call, I drove over to the office. The nurse told me my prescription had been mailed to me that morning. When I asked her if she felt that mailing the prescription out five full days after receiving a message that a patient was out of medicine was the smartest thing to do, all she would say was, "I'm not going to argue with you." She did give me some sample product to get me through until the script arrived, which I was assured would be Wed or Thurs. When the script didn't arrive in the Fri mail, I went back to the office. I told the nurse that the prescription hadn't arrived, and I was leaving town on Monday. I, at very least, needed more sample product until I got back to town. She refused. She said if the prescription hadn't arrived by Monday, she'd call one into the pharmacy. This is a solution she could have already employed any number of times over the previous 11 days, but had refused. She also could have handed me a script right there in person, but refused to do that too. I still have no medicine. It's not like I'm attempting to get a narcotic or some other ellicit drug. This is the synthroid I need to survive! I will never go back to this office again! Beware!! It's your health on the line.
