Unfortunately, I find myself having to question what type of mommy you really are. Can you truly consider a "school" where children are constantly ill, injuries are common each and every day, and the parents are viewed as nothing more than a check and a nuisance as an "amazing day care?" I certainly wouldn't. If you are looking to get rid of your children for part of the day, with no regards for their education and well-being, then yes, GAC may be the perfect school for you. But if you want your children to come home happy, healthy and having learned something new, you'll find that you will be constantly disappointed at the service GAC has to offer.
Also, in regards to the religious exemption (associated with the church you mention), I have been in GAC many, many, many times, and I have never ONCE seen any sort of theology lesson or religious sermon. I've never seen the children discussing God, or the bible, or any of the other easily teachable religious topics available to the teachers and management. I HAVE seen them wander away unsupervised and lose the tip of their finger in a door, though. Is this the type of "amazing," safe environment you want your child in? What a shame.
This is an amazing day care with a christian based foundation. Gracway Ministries on Hwy 460 in Christiansburg, Virginia is the #1 sponsor for this child care center. They truly believe in building blessed lives through the grace of Jesus Christ. All of the teachers at this day care are "Life Shapers" it really is amazing that they have caught on to the truth of early child development. My family has been more than blessed to be able to be a part of this day care. It has become a staple in our life and I highly recommend a tour of the facility and checking out the church sponsor on a Sunday morning at 10:30am. The pastor and his wife are the management team for this operation and they are wonderful people.
