WARNING: Sells DEFECTIVE - OLD "rehauled" appliances as advertises them as "like NEW" hardly used - SCAM _ CONSUMER FRAUD ALERT

Warning - Consumer FRAUD ALERT --- TopLine Appliance of Cocoa is like a sleazy "used car" salesman..... TopLine Appliance sells OLD, broken refrigerators and appliances that are DEFECTIVE - LEMONS -Problematic.... they get shipments of old broken or non-working appliances --- quickly patch them up and "rehaul" them - "fix them" .... and then sell them to the unsuspecting public consumer as if they were "new"..... They falsely mislead the public to believe that these appliances come into their shop in perfect working order directly from a home ...... Quite to the contrary: Most of the appliances come into the shop BROKEN..... They "rehaul" these non-working refrigerators and then sell them like new.... Moreover they advertise these appliances on craigs list etc. as only two or three years old and in perfect condition like new as if they were hardly used..... CHECK the serial numbers with the manufacturer ---- the refrigerators that they advertise as only a "couple" of years old are realy more like 8 - 10 years old.... Warranty - 90-120 days.... appliance may hold together for a short period of time.... and if call on warranty waiting for parts... part came in defective....etc.... ****Call on warranty and complain that there is roaring loud condenser noise --- TopLine tries to tell you that is NORMAL --- had to call in outside repairman within days ****Call to TopLine and complain that refrigerator not keeping cold - will only go to 40's and stays between 44-48....Topline DOES NOT FIX under warranty, but rather tells you the normal safe temperature for a refrigerator is below 50 (Check FDA site - needs to be below 40) ***** Call Topline refrigerator within less than 24 hours of delivery after plugging in has a burning electric smell - very strong!.... Topline tells you that is normal when start up refrigerator. Called Manufacturer who sent repairman - the heater that TopLine replaced before delivering refrigerator needed to be replaced/evidence of burn marks on clamp.... Topline only would send out part but would not install ($215 labor to install this $40 retail part) **** refrigerator that was supposed to be in PERFECT condition - only 3 years old and in a condo unit that no one really lived in.... besides it being 8 years old - the front icemaker/water dispenser cover cracked and inside freezer light cracked.... Promised replacement at time of delivery..... almost 5-6 months went by and TopLine NEVER replaced part as promised... kept stalling... part didn't come in.... or part came in broken... If you want to buy an OLDER Broken refrigerator that has been fixed up - go to Topline Appliance of Cocoa - They mislead the consumer with false advertising that appliances are hardly used like new only a couple of years old - but SCAM - appliances much older, broken, non-working, problematic units that are refurbished and then sold as if they were hardly used, like new couple of years old!

Defective Merchandise -Fraudulent & Falsely Advertises units as like new only 2 - 3 yrs old, but units much older & often broken units repairjavascript:void(0);ed as opposed to like new hardly used

Purchased refrigerator May 2013 based on Craigs List ad- only 3 years old like new. I called Topline & they are wonderfully nice. Topline insisted I need not drive 2 hrs to inspect unit, because this unit perfect condition, like new... hardly used. Unit arrived, had broken freezer light cover & broken water/ice dispenser cover...promised they would replace parts. But after delivery water/ice dispenser not working, they came back to fix, but I questioned age of refrigerator & checked with GE manufacturer: Unit was over EIGHT years old, NOT only 3 yrs old as advertised. Came to agreement that Topline would send me broken dispenser cover only, a $200 check to compensate for 5 yrs age discrepancy & would not honor the warranty. But before they mailed check as promised or sent me part, unit started acting up... loud roaring condenser noises (I thought unit was going to explode) & then noticed food going rancid... refrigerator part hovered around 44 - 48 degrees. When I called Topline they said noise normal & Bob(the owner) said nl temp is below 50.(FDA website says must be under 40 otherwise bacterial growth). Every time called, Bob or Jeff or a Rick would make promises, but never kept them...Despite over 5 months passing & repeatedly told check right on his desk, waiting for part etc.. part came in but broken, have to re-order.. Finally threatened to call Attorney General - consumer fraud false advertising & I made a trip to the store. To my surprise, despite seeing numerous ads in Craigs List that very day, mostly all units in the shop were much much older than 2 - 3 years. Also saw that contrary to what Topline leads you to believe, that these units were all perfectly working like new that they get into their store & resell, seeing the back room & talking to worker before meeting with Bob, it seems that Topline gets shipments of refrigerators every week - many of the units need 'rehauling' & are like "refurbished" in back & then put out in show room & advertised as if like new when really they were units that were problematic & "fixed." Came to an agreement to refund $650 of the $850 I paid to Topline & they would pick up the unit & just give me an "older" replacement for the one they took out of my house since they no longer had my unit that still worked although old..... I was given choice of 2 units, both being repaired. The unit I selected needed heater replaced & agreement was unit had to be in perfect working condition at time of installation (24 hours).... then "as-is".. WIthin hr of plugging in, there was a burnt electric smell. Called Topline, told me normal would go away. Noxious smell intensified over next day...Topline told me sorry but I need to call repairman at my cost. Called Manufacturer, they sent repairman... Heater needs to be replace! After many calls, Topline refused to repair- would only send $40 part but I had to hire someone & pay for installation $215. Repairman said NO, not worth putting $215 into unit

Buyer Beware- False Misleading Advertising - Defective Appliances

Warning - Buyer Beware! TopLine posts numerous ads daily on CraigsList for refrigerators like new only 2 or 3 years old! These ads are false and misleading. I purchased a refrigerator about May 2013- ad stated only 3 years old and spoke with Topline and they insisted I need not drive 2 hrs to look at the refrigerator as it was only 3 years old, hardly used at all and like new. Well refrigerator was delivered and it had a broken freezer light cover and a broker water/ice dispenser frame cover. They promised to replace the broken parts... Then when I checked the serial number with GE , the manufacturer, I learned that the refrigerator was manufactured in 2005 and sold in 2005. The refrigerator was actually EIGHT years old and not 3! Topline finally agreed to send a replacement for the broken water/ice dispenser and give me a refund check of $200 to compensate me for the 5 years age difference. After numerous calls and the check will be in the mail... neither the check nor the part ever came. While waiting for the check, just weeks after delivery the refrigerator started making intermittent loud constant roaring noises that would last for hours...Topline said that was NORMAL....consulting with refrigerator technician it was determined there was an issue with the condenser. Then after noticing bad rotten, rancid food smells and noticing meet turned brown in one day in the refrigerator I realized that the refrigerator temperature hovered between low 40's to 48 degrees.. Again Topline said safe temperature to keep food is below 50 degrees, nothing wrong. FDA website states food must be kept below 40 degrees to prevent food bourne illness -- we got dysentery including the dog and the cat! Finally after threatening to go to the attorney general, Topline refunded me the money for the refrigerator (but not the $200 delivery charge), and since they removed a working refrigerator from my home, agreed to give me a replacement unit for my original refrigerator - it was no warranty, but supposed to be working perfectly at installation... Before delivering the older unit as a replacement Topline replaced the heater unit in freezer. Within hours of installation, the refrigerator started to smell a horrible, noxious, burning electric smell.... again Topline said this is normal it will go away. In the next day the smell intensified and finally when called Topline, they said I could hire a repairman at my cost. JennAir sent an authorized repairman.... the heater unit that was installed by Topline needs to be replaced and there is evidence of burn marks on the bracket. The unit itself retails only for $40, but the labor is $215. Topline after numerous calls agreed to only send a replacement heater unit, but would not install it. The Jennair authorized repairman did not recommend spending over $200 on this refrigerator manufactured in 1999. Topline advertises and leads you to believe they are selling you like new appliances that were in top working

I recently purchased a used refrigerator after being referred from some people at work. I was told there was a 30 day warranty and to call if I had any problems though nothing specific mentioned. Less than a week went by and the freezer wouldn't hold the correct temperature. I thought I may have accidentally left the door ajar as it began freezeng again. A week later the same thing happened so I called. The lady I spoke with was very unprofessional and said I had to bring it back in rather than sending a service tech out. I explained that I had food in it and was unable to bring it due to a medical condition. I told her if I brought it back I would want my money back and she replied "Thats not going to happen!!" I ended up calling another service tech out and was told the setting should be 3-4 rather than the coldest setting which it has been on all along. Bottom line is the refrigerator never worked correctly and the warrenty is just a scam!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
