DO NOT use their services!!! I brought an ATV head to these guys for simple valve job & to inspect valve guides. They said it would take 2 days...ended up taking 2 weeks and I had to hound them to get it done. Workmanship was terrible. They initially told me it was taking so long because the machine they needed to 'deck' the head was down...when I got the head back the 'decking' hadn't even been done..they told me it was within spec and not to worry about it. They lost one of the mating pins for the cam covers and then tried to tell me it was missing when they took it apart...but I had to remove the covers when taking it off the engine and I know they were in there. When I told them I was 100% positive that the pin was in place when I gave them the head, the guy told me it wasn't there, and that he knew to look for the pin because the 1st cover he took off the pin fell on the floor so he knew to look for it when he took the 2nd cover off!!!. They told me they checked the valve guides - I don't believe they did because I had to pull the engine back apart after 150 miles because it was burning oil so bad. I took the head to another shop and they said guides were completely worn. I had also asked Northeast to set piston ring end-gap - when I took the engine back apart I noticed a mark on the cylinder wall...I then checked piston ring gap and sure enough one of the rings hadn't been gapped properly and was way too tight. Bottom line is I was not a corporate customer so I think they just didn't care. They didn't do the work I asked them to do. I will NEVER use these guys again. I am also recommending to everyone I know to stay away from this machine shop.

                        Inappropriate?
