Jimmy's Gun & Pawn Shop Inc
We were loyal customers to Jimmy's until yesterday when I tried to make a special order. The employee berated me for the weapon I was trying to purchase and was rude to me in front of several employees and customers (including the owner and his son) - ALL because I wanted to order a rifle that they didn't have in stock and that he didn't agree was a worthy purchase (a $1300 rifle). He claimed this particular brand makes inaccurate rifles and can only shoot a grouping the size of a dinner plate. To be clear, my husband has extensive knowledge of guns and reloading and has personally shot a MUCH better grouping than that with that same brand (different model). Makes me think the employee a) didn't know what he was talking about, b) gets gun advice from bad shots, c) is sexist and wanted to talk down to a woman that he thinks doesn't know her way around a rifle, or d) all of the above. I couldn't even rebut his statement - I was so stunned and embarrassed; I just walked out. I will be making this purchase with Jay's in Pensacola since the manager, Jesse, was more than willing to call the manufacture to get a timeline and price quote - no hassles, no berating - just friendly, efficient service. Our local reloading purchases will be done at Ranger Firearms - they are less expensive and have a better reloading selection anyway. Jimmy's is great and friendly if you want to buy their stock - BEWARE if you're looking for something they don't normally carry - even if they are a dealer for that manufacture.

No support after sale
After purchasing a New $1100 S&W firearm and needing warranty work done on it I was treated as if I bought the gun AS IS. Even though the gun was still under factory warranty. Will Not do business with again!!!

Every time I go into Jimmy's I feel like I am seeing old friends again. The knowledge that the staff has about anything in the store is awesome. I never feel led to buy anything that is not right for me or my family. They treat you with respect and are always ready for any question or concern. A top notch business.
