Spent less for better results
People kept telling me Healing Springs was expensive. They were wrong. I took my sick dog to two other vets multiple times and he didn't get better. Finally, I took him to Healing Springs. Dr. Jenkins ran some tests while I waited in the lobby, diagnosed him, gave me some meds, and we were feeling better than night. I pulled out all my bills and saw that Healing Springs was a few dollars more than one place and way less than the other place. But, consider the cheap place had me back three times and had me on pills that didn't work, I spent a whole lot less at Healing Springs. I am very happy with Healing Springs. Spend less, get better.

Feels like family
The staff here has been there a very long time. They feel like family and I trust their experience. They've always taken good care of me and my cats and dogs.

Very Disappointing
Recently purchased a new puppy - recently moved back to the area after being gone for a few years, so I've been in the market for a new vet. Picked Healing Springs to try for the puppy's 9-12wk vaccinations. We arrived for our 9am appt right on time, but I knew things weren't looking good when I had to tell the receptionist my name 4 times, and that we were new clients. Especially when I could see her computer screen myself, and saw "New Client" in yellow. Nevertheless, kept a positive attitude, filled out our paperwork, and sat to wait. The office wasn't really busy, 2 other people besides me and a few came in for grooming appts....However, we sat for 40 minutes before anyone came out for my pup - they took her away from me, which I HATE, but allowed because I was told they were only going to take her back to go ahead and clip her nails. 15 minutes later, after sitting in the lobby sick to my stomach because I could hear her screaming in the back, someone came out, handed me her carrier, told me she looked good and they'd see me in 3wks for her next booster. Excuse me???? Who are you? Are you the vet? If so, which vet? What does she weigh? What about her diet, what I'm feeding her - what about the fact that worms have been driving my puppy crazy for the past 2 nights?? I tried to ask some questions there in the lobby - nope, she obviously didn't have time. By then I knew we would not be returning. We go stand at the reception desk, where I had to tell another receptionist who I was an additional 4 times in order to pay our bill - this is after I saw another member of the staff point me out as the puppy's owner. Twice. When I asked for a print-out of what shots my puppy had been given, the receptionist very rudely informed me that she was getting it - apparently I should have been sorry that I interrupted her ooohing & aaahing over the pregnant woman who had come in behind me. Oh, I also enjoyed the fact that when we left, I turned around facing the building and could clearly see a doctor performing surgery on an animal through the window at the front of the building. Glad I didn't have a small child with me. Glad I didn't look too closely, either. So if you're a fan, and you think they provide excellent care - I'm glad, because obviously you've had an experience that I did not. However, we will NOT be returning, and I will NOT be recommending Healing Springs to anyone else.

Helped my dog when others could not
I am so happy with Healing Springs lately. I used them off and on in the past because their prices were so low. When my dog got this sore on his front paw that he kept licking, no one could get it to heal and it got pretty bad. After months and months of it bothering him, I finally thought to let Healing Springs have crack at it. They used a cold laser on it and Buster started licking it a lot less after the first visit. Now the sore is much better and even has hair growing back. I was starting to think this might be the end of him. I am so grateful for Healing Springs.

Impressive
As a retired MD with 30 years of practice behind me, I am continuously impressed by Healing Springs. The academic way they work up cases, the number of tests they can run immediately and in-house, the array of procedures and therapies they can offer all make me feel as if I'm at a referral hospital with board certified physicians. At the same time, the staff is very casual and friendly, and the prices are quite reasonable - especially considering the quality of care. When I moved here from Raleigh, finding a quality veterinarian for my dogs and cats was one of my concerns, but I've never had better vets.

Intelligent, Effective
I have been satisfied with the quality of care at Healing Springs for years, and I still am. A new place opened much closer to my home, and I made the mistake of trying the new place when my dog was sick. A day after going to the other place, my dog's vomiting and diarrhea was probably worse. So I took my dog to Healing Springs like I should have in the first place. Dr. Jenkins examined my dog, took me off the pills the new place gave me, and gave me two new prescriptions. My dog was much, much better in a matter of hours. That's why I have always preferred Healing Springs. The doctors are intelligent and the care is effective. I highly recommend.

Fan for years and today
Okay, they had one doctor who seemed fine for years, and early this year or so - not so much. Dr. Melton I think. Something about not following protocols and decided she was too important for vaccinations and routine work. The main 3 doctors had to force her out, and she started her own practice in Woodlawn. Probably what the guy below was talking about. All that aside, I can highly recommend this practice. I always get very intelligent answers to my questions. On two occassions, I called very late at night. They picked the phone right up and help you with your problem. Once I could tell that I had woke up the doctor, and she was still super helpful. They are a very busy vet practice, but with three main doctors and all their staff, they usually move me right through. I figure it's like restaurants. The ones with no one there on a Friday night are usually the ones you want to avoid anyway.

Poor Service
I took my two dogs to this place a few years ago had they were great. I took them back this winter and had the worst experience. Everyone was very rude and pushy. I did not get any time with the doctor and was pushed out the door with none of my questions answered. I would not recommend going to see them.
