                          R & C Real Estate Investment

                          This company is not accredited by BBB and has earned an F on the A - F scale. My experience was that they have very poor customer service, they truly do not care about the people who rent properties from them and they actually cheated us on our return deposit. We have a choice when dealing with small businesses, don't choose this one.

                            I have been a tenant of R&C going on two years and this is the absolute worst experience I have ever had as a tenant. R&C is very rude and unprofessional first off. On the day that I was scheduled to move in I had an appointment to meet with one of the office staff and obtain keys the property, they did not show. I had to call over and over for an hour to get someone to answer the phone then waited another 3 hours for someone to show up. The home was filthy when I moved in. Food stuck to counters, cabinets and appliances, layer after layer of dust and grime on everything which I notified the office of and they did nothing, not even apologize. My first head to head with R&C came about when they charged me rent, late fees and threatened eviction when I did not pay for the month that was given as a free month per my lease as an incentive for me to rent. Later I received a fine of $50.00 from the company for an HOA fine for a satellite dish that was not mine but was left behind by the owner. I had to go back and forth with the office staff to get them to finally contact the owner and verify that the dish was not mine. On another occasion, I paid $10.00 over on my rent because I was unsure of the amount and wanted to ensure that I was not short. R&C took the over-payment as miscellaneous income, they refused to give me back my money or even credit it to the next months’ rent. My latest run-in with the company has been just a pleasant as the last few. I have requested a copy of the key to the pedestrian gate because without it I am unable to get out of my complex to take a walk or bike ride with my toddler unless a car comes out and opens the gate. R&C refuses to provide the key, but will not give a valid reason as to why. Owners using this company must have no idea just how this company deals with tenants, it is completely unacceptable and I am astonished that they have a 5 star rating thus far. The company also sends out frequent "reminder" notices to all tenants about rent payments, HOA rules, etc. and specifically states at the end of each communication: "If you have questions, please DO NOT contact the office"... then who would we contact? Obviously this company is solely focused on pocketing money from owners and hasn't the least bit of interest in providing decent customer service to tenants to say the least. I would not recommend this company to others.
