      This farmer is a cheater

Please approach this farm with caution. Dena R had left numerous rave reviews and recommendations for Clearfield farm products on numerous sites prohibiting relations or paid persons from reviewing the business, I'd be very suspicious. Could this Dena R possibly be Dena Rickard, sharing the same last name as well as the mailing address of Chester Rickard; the owner of Clearfield farm? Talking about suspicious... I'd been getting feed delivery from this old guy Chet, since November, 2011. My first order was for 20 bags of 50 pound feed. My suspicion rose when majority of the bags came up short of 5 to 10 pounds. Supposedly, he ran out of 50 pound bags so divided up 100 pound bags. Well, why divide them up unevenly then? Could it be to confuse me? The math didn't add up. There were at least 13 bags that were short by 5 to 10 pounds whereas only 4 bags with extra 5 to 10 pounds to make up for the shortage. Honestly, I would not have continued business with him had it not been for this review, and that it was difficult to find feed distributor that'd deliver to my area. Had I known he’d make up for delivery discount by cheating me out of feed, I’d have hired a truck. We renegotiated with his assurance that all the bags would be 50 pounds. The subsequent monthly deliveries of 30 bags always came up short by a few pounds, which can add up to close to 100 pounds of feed. But I was shocked when bags kept coming up short by upward of 10 pounds from February delivery. I use a 15 pound capacity bucket so most 50 pound bags yield 3 full buckets and then some. I found numerous bags not even filling 3 full buckets. The feed from another farm between deliveries always comes up consistent. In retrospect, it’s apparent he was making up for what he felt was discounted delivery charge by cheating me out of about 100 pounds of feed to pocket 15-20 dollars per delivery. This farmer is a sneaky, sly character. And if anyone’s thinking of buying eggs or what not from him, I’ve seen the disgusting refrigerator where they’re kept. And this miser of a farmer uses feed bags so old and dirty, I had some that had holes he used rope to tie the other end. And the bags were unraveling at the top; I think some of that plastic shred ended up in my animals’ stomach. Heed my word of caution. This guy’s out to take advantage of whoever he can.
