Extremely dissapointed, overcharged for labor
Gardner's Plumbing was highly recommended to me by a friend who has used them multiple times. The service was fine, but they vastly overcharge for labor. I was charged for 3.46 hours (your guess is as good as mine for why it was 3.46 hours, as they round to the nearest hour). When the employee arrived, he did not have any paperwork or agreement on what time he arrived at, or left at. We asked about papers to sign and he said billing does all of that separately. We were charged 2 hours for the first day (for 1 hr. labor, one man) and 1.46 hours for the second day (for 15 minutes labor, two men). After receiving the huge bill, we contacted the business to ask for an explanation of the charges. The first person that we talked to was rude and hung up. The second person was helpful somewhat but only took about $10-15 off of the entire huge bill. We just paid it to be done with it, and we will never use them again. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. I am so sad and disappointed. We thought the employee was nice and did a good job. Now that we have been overcharged and out a bunch of money - specifically $200 over the quote I received on the phone - we will not be recommending this business to friends. This business could improve by providing specific paperwork on charges and having the customer initial the arrival/departure time and give the customer a copy.
