This has been by far the worse sales experience I've ever encountered. We purchased an '09 VW Beetle on 11/29/12. Dan Spivey was our salesperson who has no business dealing with the public. We test drove the Beetle and noticed the radio lights were not working properly, so before I would sign my name to anything, I asked about getting that fixed and of course they will promise you the moon just to get you to buy a car. Come to find out, the radio itself had to be replaced, and they had a hissy fit over it. Dan Spivey was very unprofessional in the way he talked to us a week after buying the car regarding the radio. It was not our fault the radio had to be replaced, but we would not accept an after market radio. That wasn't what was in the car, therefore we wanted what we were promised and what on the "we owe you". Dan hung up on us, then had his rude, hateful sales manager Keith Tripp call and said they will put a VW radio in, then he hung up on me. I can't begin to explain how rude and hateful they were. The VW radio is a low end radio so what was the big deal?? We had to keep calling to see if it was in. Finally I took the car back, driving over an hour away only to find out the radio they "ordered" did not work. We were told they would have one in the next day. Well a week later, still no radio. Call again and get transferred around, put on hold for 15 mins only to be told it will be in at 1pm on Wed and someone would call us. Of course no one ever did, so we called back 2 days later and it was finally there. When I took the car back again, Dan made eye contact with me and wouldn't even speak or bother to see how the car was doing. We are the customer and we were treated like dirt. On top of that the headlight didn't work the day we test drove it, so the mechanic just hit it with his hand and said ok, it's good now. No, it wasn't, so I took the car back so someone could properly fix it and was told the mechanic didn't properly install it. Now when I see Hiester commercials or radio ads, I immediate turn it off. I might just be 1 customer that will NEVER deal with your dealership again, but with the power of social media, this 1 customer could turn into many. John Hiester should be ashamed of the people he has working for him. I understand it's an used car, but when something is promised to you before signing the papers, then it should be carried out in a professional manner, not getting hung up on and talked so disrespectfully. This must be an ongoing problem b/c even the girl working at the service dept said they were always having to clean up the salesman's mess. So, if you want to get treated like less than a human being, have time to make several trips, get lied to on several occasions, please stay far far away from this place. Their ads are so misleading and no they are not "a dealership for life
