Custom Homes since 1969, best values, designed for your lifestyle by caring employees. Today's new home buyers are informed and educated when it comes to building a new home. This means that as a builder we need to produce the highest quality home with features that are up to YOUR standards! Midwest Homes Inc. is a custom builder in the Madison and Dane County area since 1969. We make the building process as easy as possible for our clients. With today's busy lifestyles we believe this is very important. Midwest Homes Inc. was founded by William F McKee in 1969 after realizing that there was a need for a quality custom homebuilder. Bill started his career off by attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After attending the University of Wisconsin, Bill went to work for Oscar Mayer (now Kraft Foods), where he became one of Oscar Mayer's building maintenance supervisors and assisted in finding new building locations. He would then manage the construction of these new facilities, which helped in the growth of Oscar Mayer. In 1970, Bill began developing land around the Madison area. You might have heard of some of the areas he developed, they include: Tower Hill, Wildwood, Seminole Ridge, Chapel Valley-Fitchburg, and Gateway-Verona. For many years, Bill ran Midwest Homes Inc.; McKee Associates, Inc. (a sister company) In 1993, Brian McKee, took over as Construction Manager. Brian is the second generation of Midwest Homes Inc. He brings many new and innovative ideas to the building industry. Brian started learning every aspect of the building business at a very early age while working for his father. He started as a laborer and landscaper while in middle school, and worked into being a carpenter the last two years of high school. While attending college, Brian continued to work as a carpenter and he also began running small commercial projects for McKee Associates Inc. (a sister company). At Midwest Homes Inc. we believe in giving back to the community. Over the years, Midwest Homes Inc. has donated labor materials to such organizations such as: Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, and Henry Vilas Zoo "Tunnel of Terror". Midwest Homes Inc. is a Proud and Active Member in these Associations: -The Madison Area Builders Association -Wisconsin Builders Association -The National Association of Home Builders
