                            Downhill

I have been taking all eight of my rescues to them for the last four years and they have really gone down hill this past one. We had an emergency situation and were refused even though it was still during business hours. They only had one vet working. That's not my problem, there should be enough Doctors working. I have spent thousands of dollars with them, but no longer. I have found a much more professional provider. It sickens me that this practice has deteriorated as it has. I do wish Dr Chandler had her own practice she is an outstanding Doctor but I will not put up with mistreatment or rudeness/laziness from staff. I also brought a new rescue who was severely underweight and had him tested for worms, which was negative. Once I checked it at home he was infested with them. What kind of test is this??? After Dr Boyd left everything has gone downhill.

                              Go at your own risk

Tall City Veterinary Hospital of Midland Texas is a veterinary hospital for those who only can afford it apparently. If your pet is on deaths door and you can only make it to this particular vet at that particular time without the proper amount of money they will turn you away. And even be frowned upon and scolded if you dont have the money to pay for the bills by one particular vet who will not be named. In my experience, I had one 4 week old male puppy who because suddenly sick overnight, we had no money to take him, bad economic times. But we managed enough to get him to the vet. The walk in fee here is cheap, but that is one of the few plus's of this clinic. The Veterinary staff responded quickly and took him in. They gave him several injections and stuck him in an inqubator. As I waited the vet told me that my puppy was sick with pneomonua or distemper. Which I already assumed. But to have him stay overnight there would be a downpayment anywhere between 70-100$. I only had 60$ in my pocket at the time, so I honestly couldnt agree with that, they said that was fine, wrapped up my dog and handed him back to me. They told me to get some more money next time and they could keep him overnight. My puppy came home that night. The next day, he perked up. Even growling at a Television as though it were an intruder. However, the following day he deterierated rapidly, and the puppy, who I have politely named Angel died in his sleep. Three days later, a puppy who we had an intention of keeping as our own, came down with the EXACT same symptoms, in a panic I called Tall City Veterinary Hospital, but this hospital doesnt offer blessings. I explained my predicament. I spent all my money that I had on the last pup, so this little girl, named Diamond had no funds available for her. I explained I'd be willing to work a deal, do payments over time, do an extra job at the clinic, anything. But all my offer's were turned down. With a "Sorry, we dont do that here." by the vet. The vet intern's are quite friendly, I would love to see them take over that clinic someday because they seem to have a heart about being a veterinarian. The purpose of a veterinarian is to heal the sick. Not demand money then heal. Thank you Tall City Veterinary hospital. My puppy Diamond will be put down tonight by animal control, because you wont even put her to sleep without upfront payment. Tall City is maybe a good animal hospital for an animal that needs shots, or maybe minor problems, but if your in financial problems? This doesnt work here. Not the place to go if you hit a bump in the road. Tall City is still quite fast in getting you to a room, has a well kept office, and a boarding facility. The walk in fee is 25$ and the veterinary bill is usually relatively cheap. Maybe its just my experience, I hope no one will ever have to experience this pain of hopelessness. But I would love to hear other review on this clinic.
