What terrible customer service at Aarons rent a center at 1210 County Road West, Odessa TX 79763 ! My husband and I went to Aarons to lease a TV we found there. Started off bad because we were being charged a different amount than what was advertised on the TV. I caught that and brought it to their attention. The manager comes out Joe G. Borrego to help us, which he did, so he gave us the benefit of the doubt that this transaction was still a good idea. I had been making double payments to pay off within the 6 months no interest. The last 2 payments was hell! When I called the store June 2, 2012 to make sure my amount matched their amount for what was still owed and guess what...of course not. Why did I think it would go smooth when it started off bad! The girl who answered the phone, which I failed to get her name told me this exactly..."the reason my payment was more was because I wasn't charged tax"...good one girl. I had the contract in front of me and I said how can I not be charged tax if its all included and shows my total payoff amount? She then says..."that's why I always tell my customers before any transaction that their payments are not taxed, its not just our store its all our other locations and I don't know why they (the other employees) don't tell their customers beforehand". If this is what this company teaches their employees, they should wonder why there are so many bad reviews. Now its Monday June 4, 2012 and I go in the store to talk to the manager about the amount. He now tells me the extra charges are due to warranty for the TV through Aarons. Ok that excuse I can understand, but I was just getting the run around and I'm not about to ruin our credit or name for that matter. We are people who are responsible for our things and we pay for what we want. As a professional company u can't change prices on customers. But fine I'm not trying to get out of it we will pay. The manager honors an extra day to pay off the TV by June 7, 2012 and initials my paperwork for the remaining amount owed. Now I go in June 7, 2012 to pay it off and guess what...the amount is almost $30 more !(keep in mind that this was all in the same week beginning June) The assistant manager comes out and says I'm being charged for a new month, I am officially done with this place of business ! We were in the same month the manager signed his initials and the total amount owed by June 7, 2012 and the assistant manager said there are no notes from the General manager and of course he is not in the store. I still paid it because we are good people and we got played, but it's ok because someone else won't be that nice. I hope it doesn't happen to other people. Buyers/renters beware and be wise ! I AM ONLY PUTTING A ONE STAR BECAUSE IT DOESN'T LET ME CHOOSE NO STAR !

We found a good Tv at a good price, until we were charged a different amount when we were going to pay.The ticket price on the Tv was a lower amount from when it came down to the paperwork. I cought that right away and confronted the associate about it. This is when the manager got involved and took care of the situation, which at that point was great. Now, we had been making monthly payments to pay off the Tv within 6 months for no interest. Last two payments things went down hill. I called the store to check the remaining balance and of course it had changed. The woman told me it was because I wasnt taxed on my payments, WHAT ??? crazy... She obviously doesnt know her line of work and she actually said "that is why I always tell my customers its not including tax, and its just not this store its our other locations too, a lot of the other employees dont tell their customers about being taxed, but I do". That was the sound of bad, unprofessional, liars kind of business, so now my husband and I make a trip down there to talk in person. I spoke with the general manager Joe G.
