William Wallace dba The Shutter Factory and Custom Shutters International is stealing customer deposits. He has been working this scam since 2010. Wallace comes to your home,measures your windows for shutters, gives you a written estimate, requests a 50% deposit. He takes your deposit, cashes your check and is never heard from again. He and his cohort Stacy never return phone calls or answer letters or Faxes..you never get your shutters. I know of 15 people he scammed. Do not do business with him if you value your money. Bill Wallace and Stacy need to be prosecuted. Check out the BBB report for Bill Wallace. They gave him and the Shutter Factory an F rating. I wrote in earlier about getting scammed for thousands of dollars by William Wallace at The Shutter Factory. They have had my money since January and not one shutter is installed. I had another shutter company out last week and it was quite interesting. Bill Wallace is widely known to be scamming clients and everyone in that business knows about him. And his girlfriend Stacy, helps him pull it off. They said BBB has been calling for information ~ they have been getting so many complaints about The Shutter Factory. FINAL SLAM - THE SHUTTER FACTORY HAS NO LOCATION - THE SHUTTERS ARE SHIPPED FROM CHINA.

I have personally used The Shutter Factory for two homes and ordered for a third home. I also recommended The Shutter Factory to many clients. William Wallace is now operating under Custom Shutters. There is no address for a facility - only a P.O. Box. Bill has had my deposit - almost 6,000 - since January. Not a single shutter is installed and he will not return calls or emails. I would warn everyone not to use this company. The Shutter Factory has an F rating on BBB and many online complaints just like mine. Since I had used him so long, it did not even occur to me that he was running a scam operation. Shame on me, but please beware!

Shutter Factory did a great job putting up our shutters at my home. They helped with educating my wife and I about different products and what to look out for in the market. During the installation, I made a request for a few changes on the shutters and without hesitation I got what I wanted. Because of my request, the job took a little longer than expected but they won't over the top with their service and did it with a smile. Thanks again to The Shutter Factory !

Along came and gave me a very competitive quote. He displayed confidence in his product. I requested that they do the job. Alex came to install 3 weeks later. The shutters look beautiful. They really compliment my Victorian home. They look like they have been there forever. One small issue in main bath, but they have advised it will get rectified.

Alex was referred to me through a work colleague after I had seen the shutters in his home and commented how good they looked. Alex came over for our estimate at the time he said would (puntual) was courteous and in a matter of 30-minutes we were doing business. The shutters arrived in the time frame he said they would and he and his colleague installed them when he said he would and with minimal intrusion into our home. So it was a pleasant experience and great service - I am happy to recommend Alex and Shutter Factory.

Good choice of company
After deciding that shutters were the way to go with our large front bay window, we researched shutters on the internet and on Homestars.ca and Amazing Shutters kept appearing at the top of our list for supreme product and supreme ratings. Alex came to the house a few weeks ago, explained the benefits and quality of the custom made polywood shutters and provided samples. We were sold. After a few weeks, Alex and his father installed the shutters today and the installation was first class, as they even caulked around the framework. The results are truly breathtaking! A friend of mine referred me to Amazing Window Fashions. She had shutters installed in her home 4 years ago and they still look brand new.
