Last night I used their website to email a request for a technician & once it was submitted it told me I would be contacted shortly. After an hour of not hearing anything, I called & was told I would have a technician call me in a few minutes & to stay by the phone. Two hours later I called again because I still hadn't heard from anyone. The girl put me on hold & called the technician. When she got back on she told me that the technician was finishing up a job & would come out to me as soon as he was done & that he would call in just a minute. I finally got a call from the technician a few minutes later & he told me he was at home in Salt Lake City & that it would take him 50 minutes to get to me. He then said he could come out in the morning instead. I told him I work in the morning at 8:30 and he said he could be there by 7:00. If I wanted someone to come in the morning I would have said that. What's the point of 24 hour service if I can't get it when I want or need it? Then this morning I got a call from a different technician who said he would come out & he called multiple times to update me on how far out he was, which was great. However, he told me that what I had been quoted was wrong. Didn't say if it was higher or lower, just said it was wrong. I was originally quoted at $50-$150 for labor yet I had to pay $229 plus a $19 fee for them to come out to me this morning. That is ridiculously high; my husband has been locked out before & it was half that price. I have a Ford F150 & I know it is difficult to get open but $250 for 5 minutes? I usually use a different co. but they take so long to get to you that I decided to try someone else. And since the Salt Lake City Locksmith website stated they were fast & reliable, I decided to go for it. I didn't get fast or reliable & will NOT be using them again. And since I gave the vehicle Make & Model to the service rep when I first called, I really don't appreciate the price changing so drastically. I should have been told up front so I could use someone else.
