Ask questions and know your options
What attracted me to schedule an appointment with this particular endodontist was because it had been suggested that I needed a root canal. However, it is always wise to get a second opinion and additional test before any prescribed procedure. When I arrived at the facility, it was well kept and clean; it was a welcoming environment overall. Moreover, the wait was not long. Both office staff greeted me pleasantly, and were friendly during my visit. However, I was disappointed in my consultation experience with Dr. Fragale. I felt that my opinion or questioning concerning other treatment options, besides the common prescribed root canal therapy or pulling the tooth were not welcomed or dismissed. Moreover, at different points during my consultation, I was made to feel stupid for inquiring about other treatment modalities. Towards the end of the consultation, Dr. Fragale left my appointment and told me he was going to return. However, he went into another appointment with another patient. Later in the day, I called Dr. Fragale to ask an additional question, given my circumstances, and he did not return my call. His secretary later returned my call, and answered my question however. I felt this was professional inappropriate given that we met and he preformed the test to diagnose and prescribe treatment, not his secretary. Anyhow, my one suggestion to everyone is to make sure you read and ask questions, know what your other options are. In my case, my consultation experience was not personable.

Impressive office environment, helpful office staff, and personal follow-up by the Dr. himself really made the difference. I wish all doctor's office were like this one. The procedure went smoothly as well. :-)
