I absolutely love Dr. Miller and the staff at Charles Co. Vet Hospital. Dr. Miller saw my boy for his very first appointment, and the breeder recommended him to me when I brought Leo home with me. He's been with him ever since - for the great sicchada eating frenzy that he took me thru, to what to do about ticks! He is so gentle and calm, and he hives him more treats than I do! They care about my boy as much as I do, and that is a big plus in my book!

We found Dr. Miller after poor experiences at other vets in Waldorf (one that has no time management and the other that performs services without asking, then expects payment). We have been so happy with him and with his staff. Our cat, 12 years old, was lethargic one morning and I was able to bring her in that afternoon...being diagnosed with advanced kidney failure, Dr. Miller and his staff was extremely compassionate. One of our dogs ripped out a toenail, and I was able to bring her that morning (along with my toddler and newborn!) with no appointment to have her taken care of. Dr. Miller is wonderful with the animals, with their owners, and his love for his work is evident.

My 15 y/o cat hadn't really eaten in about 5 days. He went from 14 lbs to 10.5 lbs. I called CCVH that morning and got an appointment the same day at my convenience. Dr. Miller did blood work and took radiographs. Boots was diagnosed with a splenic tumor and anemia. He was given an B-complex injection and referred to Dr. McGuire at VCA Animal Hospital for an ultrasound which was performed the next morning which confirmed the splenic tumor that was 4" x 1.5". Boots was scheduled for surgery by Dr. Miller for the next afternoon. Dr. Miller spoke to me before and after the surgery and, as I had requested to be in the office when it was done, Brandy, receptionist called me 30 mins before. Dr. Miller took me in to see Boots before and after surgery. A section of the tumor was biopsied and sent to pathology for diagnosis. I took Boots home that night. The next morning he wasn't eating or drinking. Dr. Miller called me and told me to bring Boots in for B-complex injection for energy and suggested feeding him meat baby food by syringe, water by dropper and liquid vitamins. Dr. Miller and his staff are humane, comforting, understanding, loving professionals. I have had 4 other vets in Waldorf and La Plata and Dr. Miller is the most compassionate, competent and affordable vet I have experienced.

I have a very nervous boxer mix. Every time I take my dog to Dr. Miller's office, he kneels on the floor with her and takes the time to reassure her before beginning the exam. When I took my dog to Dr. Miller to have a lump removed from her head, he went over the procedure in detail before the surgery and explained what he did after the surgery. He even took me on a tour of the facility. Dr. Miller and his staff took care of my dog for a week while she was recovering and I was at work, and were always available to answer any questions I had. The kindness and compassion of both Dr. Miller and his sfaff alleviated my fears and my dog's nervousness.

Dr. Miller and the staff of Charles County Veterinary Hospital are terrific. My black lab had eaten a chunk of mulch backed up with a clump of grass and ended up with an intestinal obstruction. It was very serious and I was a basket case about the thought of his surgery and recovery. Dr. Miller completed the appropriate tests and xrays and reviewed all the information extensively with me. This put me at ease and I was thankful he showed the empathy of the situation and not treated my pet as a routine issue. I have had that at another vet and I am greatful I found Dr. Miller. He and the staff handles every person and pet with years of veterinary experience and empathy. My pet has survived a potentially serious surgery with flying colors. I would recommend Dr. Miller and his staff to be the vet to go to not only for serious issues but to keep you pet in the best of health with the routine checkups and medication.

Dr Miller has been my veterinarian through 6 cats, including 3 I currently own, and more recently 5 stray kittens. My first visit to him was when I had just moved to the area and was referred to him by my sister because my cat of 16 years was not doing so well. Dr. Miller was very caring and compassionate during this 1st meeting and helped me make the decision we all most dread when the time comes. His whole staff during the years have been great as well. I know there are Animal Hospitals closer to me but I will not take my pets anywhere else. I know when I drop off my "Family" they will be treated by Dr. Miller and his staff as one of their own. Thanks Dr. Miller for your years of great service.

Doctor Miller has been my DVM for nine years.I am a registered nurse that has experience in pre and post operative surgery.I adopted my cat from a rescue and they insisted that i get her a hysterectomy before i take her home.I notice some puffyness around her incision site and sure enough the stitches were bursting open and there was puss comming out of the wound.Doctor Miller let me bring my feline in to the hospital immediately. She had to have an emergency operation. The situation did not look bright ! She has 2 drainage tubes in her belly and the incision is around 4 inches long.the post operative recovery is going wonderfull all because of doctor miller's expertise as a DVM.He is careing ,his operative skills are a sterile procedure. His staff are careing and well trained .Thank you Doctor L. Miller and his staff. I will be forever gratefull. Flo Flo
