Improperly installed product never worked correctly. Poor customer service.

Purchased an Audio Vox remote starter for my daughter's car from them on the recommendation of a new car dealer. Big mistake. Should have read other on-line reviews first. First, the lock/unlock feature failed. They fixed it, but I had to wait two weeks for an appointment, because they were on vacation. Several months later, I took the car for servicing just before Christmas and discovered that the remote start feature didn't work. My daughter said that it had never worked, but she had presumed that she was not using the control properly and didn't want to bother me. I called for an appointment, but was told that everyone was on vacation for a week. (Sound familiar?) When I called again in early January, I was told that the earliest opening was not for another three weeks. My next call was to Audio Vox Customer Service to ask for a list of other authorized dealers for this product. Guess what? They only have one in Eastern Massachusetts and it is not this firm. The authorized dealer gave me an appointment within one week and fixed the unit (while I waited) for a modest labor charge. The problem, they explained, was that the remote starter's control unit had not been correctly wired to the ignition, as per the manufacturer's specifications. GIVE YOUR BUSINESS TO ANOTHER COMPANY.
