                        I had a 2 yr contract with this gym. When i joined, some of the machines were not working and needed work. my contract just ended and the machines still haven't been touched. Alot of the MACHINES don't work properly, i work out pretty avidly and regularly and document all of my distance and time. Me and an employee, tried 5 elliptical machines and all 5 had the distance log broken. The instructor told me to write it down and let her know so she can get the machines worked on, so i gave it to a At the Beach employee at the front desk. She grabbed the paper and said "what do you want me to do with this?" i explained to her that the instructed requested this. she then said "so, then what am i supposed to do with it?" CHILDCARE - first off let me mention that childcare is in a VERY small room, with hardly any toys. The employees would just sit and turn on the tv and expect the kids to sit and watch it. They don't interact with the children. My kids have ran out of the child care room SEVERAL times to get me and the employees will just let them. The staff are not qualified to take care of kids. INCONSISTENT - due to the VERY HIGH TURNOVER RATE at this business, alot of the rules are inconsistent. one person says one thing and then next month theres a new staff member, so you're arguing with them about how things are done. HIGH TURNOVER RATE- like mentioned earlier theres a high turnover rate. I know more about their job then they do. There will be long lines to check into fitness/tanning because they're constantly training new staff the ropes. DISRESPECTFUL- i've had an assistant manager tell me that "i needed to keep my kids under control or i will be asked to leave" i have two young boys, one of which is diagnosed with A.D.H.D. and we just got done waiting in line for like 10 minutes to check in. Most of the daycare staff were aware of this, but the assist. mgr didn't know. UNSANITARY - i watched two employees watch a new member use the toning tables without socks or shoes. She used about three to four different tables. Neither of the two employees wiped down the beds till i spoke up and said something to the instructor. Also i took a shower there before work, and my locks of hair were still in the shower from the weeks prior. The restrooms were rarely cleaned. I had to speak up in order for someone to start doing it. Also the restrooms seem to run out of soap and paper towels and is never properly restocked. I've gone in and there was no soap. Pretty disturbing UNSAFE - most of the employees are young and wouldn't know what to do if someone were to get hurt or pass out. Theres three fans in the gym, not ceiling fans but reg. fans.
