 | Editorial Review for Kiki's Bistro |
| Rustic charm and reliable, reasonably priced bistro classics lure the faithful to this River North mainstay.
In Short Warm and rustic, with wood-plank floors and rosy-hued drapes, tablecloths and banquettes, Kiki's draws a mature, urban crowd for traditional, homey French fare. Favorites include classic steak au poivre with frites and coq au vin, a soulful stew of tender chicken, potatoes, carrots and mushrooms in smoky wine sauce. Liver lovers should pay a visit at lunch for sweet-savory sauteed calf's liver with caramelized onions. For dessert, apple tart and poached pear on pastry are worth the calories, as is the ethereal chocolate mousse. | Insider Tips | Parking Free valet parking in the evenings is a gracious commodity in this booming neighborhood.
The Extras Kiki's cozy bar is an appealing, low-key scene for a 30- to 60-something crowd, and is a great spot for a bite at the bar. | View full Citysearch profile Information provided by Citysearch |

Kiki's Bistro, located off the beaten path in the River North area, is a long time Chicago favorite for French cuisine. The restaurant offers a warm and rustic dining setting, complete with wood plank floors and rosy-hued drapes, tablecloths and banquettes. The menu offers an extensive array of selections, including such notable selections as Sauteed Breast of Duck with Leg Confit, Sauteed Red Cabbage, and Wild Rice served with Green Peppercorn Sauce; Bifteck Pommes Frites--thinly cut Top Butt Steak grilled with Hand-Cut Matchstick French Fries and Herbed Butter; and New York Strip Steak. Another part of Kiki's charm is that it is hidden away on a cul-de-sac a few blocks off the beaten path. But as the many regulars will attest, return visits with friends will follow. Free valet parking is also available. Owner Georges Cuisance and the staff at Kiki's look forward to seeing you soon.
