| Message From Ballo | | Setting the new tempo of Italian dining, drinking and dancing- Italian Comfort Food

| | While there are plenty of Italian Restaurants in Chicago, the cuisine at Ballo sets it apart from the competition. Italian comfort foods with a contemporary twist are the house specialty. The menu offers an extensive selection of appetizers, wood-oven fired pizzas, family-style entrees and desserts. A fabulous antipasto menu is also available including: cured meats, cheeses and grilled vegetables. In addition to ordering a cocktail from the full-service bar, customers can choose from a large selection of Italian and domestic wines to compliment their meal. Ballo is the ideal juxtaposition of a great restaurant and fun-loving lounge or nightspot. The beat of the music, sparkling disco ball and plasma television screens covering the walls set the mood inside this unique space, converted from a 50's diner. |

| Lively music, a disco ball and "Godfather" movies create a upbeat vibe at this River North Italian restaurant.
The Scene Speakers pulse '70s disco and techno tunes while a disco ball bounces colors off the dining room giving the restaurant a club-like feel. Diners--dressed from ultra-casual to fashion-conscious--sit at banquette tables along one wall, or at closely spaced tables in the center, taking in the action in the open kitchen or viewing gangster movies on flat-screen TVs. For couples seeking a more private experience, a disco ball-less dining room is to the left of the entrance.
The Food The contemporary Italian menu changes daily, with pasta and seafood dishes prevailing. Entrees like linguine Vongole in a white wine sauce with baby clams and a sprinkling of chili flakes, are perfectly portioned for lighter appetites. Spicy pork chops get a kick from chili peppers and lemon--a la carte sides like baked tomatoes, escarole wit | View full Citysearch profile Information provided by Citysearch |
