Third Street storefront offers palatial Indian backdrop and standard SubContinent eats. In Short Close-together wooden sidewalk tables are a familiar site along this popular restaurant stretch, but belie a much warmer, more traditional interior. Large mirrors add depth to the main room, framed by deep red walls, white linen tablecloths and ornate Geineshas. Further back, the "patio" offers playful wall paintings of a dancing lavendar Hindu goddess and floor tables strewn with plush, vibrant pillows. The menu includes popular dishes such as samosas, lamb korma and chicken tikka masala.
