| | Moran's is a beautiful New York tavern of Irish origin in the downtown financial district. We cater to all, including Wall Street bankers and brokers, families and tourists alike. We offer a wide range of options tailored to suit your requirements, from a modestly priced cocktail party to a grand scale banquet. We cater intimate gatherings for as few as 20 persons and we also cater corporate cocktail parties for up to 250 persons. Whether a newcomer or old friend, you'll yearn to return.
Our landmark location, built in 1897, was formally an inn and later became St. George's Chapel during the Depression in 1929. St. George's Chapel catered to the local merchants and residents, which were mostly of Syrian Catholic descent. This area came to be known as "Little Syria." In 1979 the church retired, and the Moran family acquired and converted the site and began operating on Dec. 26, 1986. |

| Irish pub with traditional fare draws suits and families alike.
In Short The Irish restaurant at Saint George's Chapel offers pub fare such as buffalo wings and potato skins, as well as more traditional selections of shepherd's pie and bangers and mash. At dinner, expect families dining out and worker bees catching the game on the big-screen TV. Retro liquor advertisements and saloon-themed paintings decorate the restaurant's mahogany and jade green walls. An intricately carved bar, Persian rugs and roaring fireplace add ambiance. | Insider Tips | Save Money Check the chalkboard behind the bar for drink specials ranging from pina coladas to limited edition beers. | View full Citysearch profile Information provided by Citysearch |
