| A goth temple to all things that moo.
In Short Though owner Jeff Chodorow made Kobe Club infamous with his printed retaliation against less-than-impressed critics, his steakhouse's zany decor would have done the job anyway. With its stingray-skin bar, rocks hanging in leather straps, and 2,000 samurai swords dangling above diners' heads, the space could double as a Klingon sex club. Prices are out of this world, too, for dishes like sake-cured salmon, foie gras "steak" and the main event: various cuts of Japanese, American and Australian wagyu beef. | Insider Tips | Prix Fixe Menus Try all three cuts of Japanese wagyu for a mere $395 or a six-course tasting menu priced according to choice of strip loin: American wagyu ($95); Australian wagyu ($135); or Japanese Kobe ($165).
What to Drink The wine list includes 250 bottles of wine and 14 options by the glass.
The Extras Diners can "mix and match" different steak choices with seafood choices.
When to Go A more casual menu and games such as backgammon and dominoes are on-hand Thursday through Saturday, from 11:45pm until 1am. | View full Citysearch profile Information provided by Citysearch |
