The Scene
With the selection and swank of a trendy lounge, but the mellow attitude and low prices of a neighborhood bar, this spot is ideal for winding down after work with friends or for a not-too-pricey date. Delicate white lamps hang over a bar backed by dozens of wine taps. Window-side cocktail tables give way to red walls, dark wooden chairs and candlelight in the spacious dining room, where it's quiet enough for quality conversation.
The Draw
Wine might be what gets you in the door, but the eclectic menu and attentive service make it easy to linger. More than 100 wines from all over the world are available in two-ounce tasting sizes, by the glass or bottle, or in flights featuring several sample-size selections. There's also a handful of beer flights, a full liquor bar and food choices ranging from Chinese finger foods to no-carb burgers. |
