| A comfortable and idiosyncratic neighborhood joint.
The Scene
A self-described "home of warm beer, lousy food and an ugly owner," the Waterfront has a dozen fine beers on tap and numerous drink specials. Postcards and souvenirs of all kinds decorate the back bar beneath a tin model of a New Yorkish skyline--and the swiveling bar stools have high backs. It's dark in a cozy way, and there's always free popcorn available from the movie-theater popper next to the bar.
The Draw
During the day, the kitchen serves pub grub and you might spot families having a quiet meal, but after dinner it's all bar. The friendly local crowd can get a little wild at night, especially when there's live music. If you're a scotch drinker, make sure to peruse the extensive single malt menu. And if hot sauce is your thing, you can take home a bottle of the house brand. |
