Cynosure Health Compass Series: So You Think You Can Change?

Have you ever...or are you now...trying to change something in your healthcare facility? Did you test the change before you implemented or did you implement before you tested? Have you ever wondered why improvement 'happens' but doesn't spread or sustain?

It is not too late to register for Cynosure Health's Compass Series that will begin on February 22, 2012. This is a 5-month series of sessions that will guide you through a quality improvement journey that will not only be effective but also fun. You will be joined by others who are trying to figure out how to get their quality project jump started. Others may have made improvements but have stalled and are wondering why their improvements were not sustainable.

Classes take place on 2/22, 3/28, 4/18 or 4/25 (depending on your Excel level), 5/30, and 6/27

Fee for this class is $250 for SFBA 'In-Network' hospitals and includes continental breakfast, lunch, parking and 27.5 CE's at the conclusion of the series.

This full-day, five-month series includes discussions about the following:

• Why change won't happen without a defined, measurable, clear GOAL.
• Why you can't manage what you don't measure.
• Why your team composition matters and how to drive your team to success.
• How to explore your process to understand where the 'work-arounds' are.
• How to display process and outcomes measures effectively.
• The role human factors play in the quality and patient safety outcomes.

You will walk away from the Compass Series with:

• Goal setting and measurement skills.
• Data management and organization skills.
• Techniques for building a highly successful team.
• A clear understanding of process design that supports quality and safety.
• The ability to understand and plan for human factors in systems.
• A cohort of other quality leaders committed to change and ready to support your goals.
• The membership of an experienced improvement advisor.

Refund Policy: Cancellation must be received in writing prior to February 15, 2012 to qualify for a refund minus a processing fee of $50.
