How to Make Money Selling Sports Collectibles

List: Posted: 02/16/11

When you are looking for a great way to make money that is as fun as it is profitable, one thing to consider is selling sports collectibles.  There has always been a market for these items, and with more adults today collecting than kids, it is big business.  Let's look at how you can get started making money selling these cards and memorabilia.

There is plenty of money to be made in the world of sports collectibles, and any look at price guides or current memorabilia auctions will tell you the same.  Of course, before you get started you will need some items to sell, and you have to be able to sell at a profit, so searching your collection, browsing flea markets, or even offering consignment service is a good place to start.

Once you have a decent sized inventory, you have to decide where and how you want to sell.  Opening a store requires a lot of paperwork and capital, so you may wish to start small.  Consider selling on eBay or at local flea markets and sports memorabilia shows and traveling sports conventions.  Plenty of people bring big money to these places in the hopes of making a great score.  If you have the item someone wants, chances are they will be willing to pay big money to get it.

Advertising is also key, and you will find that posting your items or your sales in the paper or even on Craigslist can help you make more money.  Sports collectibles are huge sellers, and you, too, can cash in on this growing market.

"A Specialty Pawn Shop for Jewelry & Rolex Watches" Many of you may remember us as "Pan's Jewelers" in the Staten Island Community for over 30 years. We may have changed our business model but we offer the same honest and friendly service. Let us now help you with any of your Cash Loan needs. What we accept: * Fine Jewelry * Scrap Jewelry * High End Watches * Coins We are members of the NYS & National Pawnbrokers Association, and are committed to quality customer service Established in 2007. Many of you may remember us as Pan's Jewelers, previously located at the Big Apple Bazaar here in Staten Island NY. Here is where Simon Pan opened up his first of many jewelry stores back in 1982. His friendly smile, enthusiasm & hard work has been the key to his success for the last 30 years. When the economy started to decline, Simon noticed many of his clients looking to sell their gold in order to pay for their current debt. It's become a tough time for many. Instead of selling their jewelry of sentimental worth, why not provide the option to pawn it as well? This way, his customers can get a cash loan without having to sell. This started the new business chapter for Simon and "Pawn.Cash.Go." was born. Besides helping individuals, many small businesses have also recognized pawning as another loan option. With no credit checks, background checks and no long waiting periods, Pawn shops are now considered as a solid resource for instant cash loans.
