It comes in all shapes, sizes, and colors. It can be a football, a smiley face, or it can be covered in paw prints. It might be pink, blue, green, or any other color. Do you think you know what it is? It's a doormat! Some people don't use them, and others think they're just silly. However, a doormat can, and will save your floor!
First of all, using a doormat cuts down the time you spend sweeping and mopping the floor. Dirt and other contaminants people gather on the bottom of their shoes get on the carpet and floors, causing extensive damage. This won’t only ruin the finish of your expensive hardwood floors, but it will additionally stain and discolor the rug, as well. Therefore, using a doormat will not only prevent damage to your flooring, but it will also save you time and money that would've been spent cleaning and servicing the floors.
Secondly, a doormat gives you a space to do things that you don't want to do inside your house. Obviously, you wipe your feet off but what about your dog's feet? You don't want to wipe those off on your floor, either. What about setting grocery bags down? Setting them down on your linoleum might cause dings and scratches, but accidentally slamming a heavy bag on your doormat won't cause any damage, at least not to the floor or the doormat, but maybe the eggs.
If you’re in the market for a new doormat, start by checking the Internet. You can find all kinds of doormats to match your personality!
