When looking for great popular music, there is no better way to choose albums than to look at which were the highest selling. Here, we will offer the highest selling albums of 2010 in an easy to read top 10 format.
Number 10, according to iTunes has been Jason Castro’s The Love Uncompromised. This debut album by the American Idol alum has been downloaded a remarkable number of times.
Number 9 is The Element of Freedom by Alicia Keys. Containing her hit single New York, featuring Jay-Z, this one has been hot for some time now.
Number 8 belongs to The Best of Sade by Sade. With her new album releasing (more on that shortly), her top hits have become incredibly popular once more.
The number seven spot is held by John Mayer, who has had a number of popular albums now. Battle Studies is the latest in his string of hit albums.
The E.N.D. by the Black Eyed Peas comes in at number six and included the hit song I’ve Got a Feeling.
Ocean Eyes by Owl City comes in at number five, and this quirky album is quite popular with teens and adults alike.
Soldier of Love by Sade is in at number four. Her first solo album in years, it sold record numbers almost as soon as it was released.
The Fame Monster by Lady Gaga comes in at number three. Packed with hits, this album is heard in dance clubs everywhere.
Number two belongs to Animal by Kesha. Packed with club hits, this is one of the best albums heating up dance floors across the country.
Number one is Contra by Vampire Weekend. This rock album is fantastic, which is why it is the biggest seller of 2010.
