You can also try rubbing alcohol to remove the magic marker. Use a clean cloth to dab the affected area with the rubbing alcohol. Keep adding the rubbing alcohol to the site until it is wet and then let it sit for about half an hour. You can also use nail polish remover if you do not have any rubbing alcohol at the house. It works in much the same way to remove magic marker as it works to chemically break down the ink and dilute it.
