I took in several quality items to sell including High end guitars and wedding bands that were provided to me by the Mystery Shopper agency. 1st things 1st, the guy totally ignores his new customers that entered the business 15 minutes prior to his buddies coming in. He side steps everyone else to bring kids to the front selling Gold that they've no doubt either stolen or taken from Mom's jewelry case. Either way I would highly, highly suggest that you go anywhere else but here. You would be better off trying to sell your items on the side of the road and could definitely get more for them. The guy tried to tell me that I was attempting to sell a low end guitar. Only problem with that is that I was carrying a flawless (Never used) Ibanez Artist Prestige model AR-2000. They are very rare and hard to find and to give you an idea of just how rare and hard to find they are there is only 1 listed in the US for 1100$. The guy behind the counter tried to tell me that my 80$ Gator hardcase was worth more than the guitar. This business is obviously clueless on how to appropriately look up items, much less on how to treat them. I would go anywhere else unless it is truly a matter of life and death. This business is an absolute rip-off (even by pawn shop comparisons) and I would avoid it entirely even in matters of life & death.
I have been doing business with Piggy Bank Pawn for over a year now. Yes, they are are a pawn shop and yes they have to turn a profit to pay bills, so no you won't get $500 for your $525 "high end" guitar. They are good people with a good heart and will do whatever they can to help you out.
