Description

Hello, my name is Jessica I am the previous owner of The NH Dog Company in Hooksett NH a grooming boarding training and doggie daycare business which I sold in October 2015 to dedicate my time to my furry babies. I have boarded dogs out of my home since 2012. I also became a professional dog groomer at the age of 18 and have been grooming ever since. At a very young age I had a connection with dogs and all animals alike. My family and friends have called me the dog whisperer. I'm also known around town as "the pug lady " I went into training because of my understanding of what dogs need and how they understand us and how we can understand them. I am a pet parent to 10 pugs (three which are rescues) ages 3 months to 14 years old, a silly little pugzu, a very dedicated Brussels griffon, and a 8 year old drooly mastiff. They are without a doubt my furry children. We even get them dressed up for the big pug socials every year and my partner Pete (an electrician by day and dog lover by night) loves to build props to go along with the costumes too. yes I am that crazy dog mama! I am also a mom to a Juliana pig named Otis who absolutely adores my young puglings, an African grey named William who talks all day, a yellow naped Amazon named Sam who will tell anyone who is loud in the house to" be quiet" haha and a happy little cockatiel named Pidgey that just loves Pete! I have also been a foster mom for paws New England and have been on wmur for adopt this pet, and have been a supporter and on the foster list for green mountain pug rescue. I currently have 5 senior pugs and have to administer medications daily. I have also boarded other dogs requiring insulin shots, eye drops and more so I know what I'm doing. I know each and every dog is different and have different needs. That is why is it good to have someone experienced watching your dogs and that is what I offer. I know some dogs have a hard time at first when their owners leave but with my experience I can help your pup adjust and have a good time while mom and dad are gone away. Your dogs happiness is the most important thing to me which is why we only allow dog friendly dogs, and we never crate unless asked to and all our guests dogs are allowed to sleep anywhere they would like (I usually lose my pillow when our guests come over). We have a fenced in yard in the back with an above ground pool that is open in the summer and smaller pools for the little guys. . When the pups go outside they are always supervised! You are more than welcome to bring anything you feel your dog will need during their stay. Yes we put on snowsuits and boots too! We always make sure that you bring your own food and we ask many questions of your dogs diet including feeding times, amount, if they are on a strict diet, allergies, etc...before they are dropped off. We are also located only a couple minutes off rt 93 and live in a 4 bedroom home in a great family friendly neighborhood. I always tell people your dog will let you know when you pick them up if they were happy and it is so true!
