Cares more for $$ than the patient! NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY!

After driving two hours to reach the clinic at the prescribed time of 15-20 minutes early, I was given 8 pages of paperwork to complete. Then I waited for 45 minutes to brought back and have my vitals taken. After an hour of waiting and nobody coming to my room, I went out to the nurses station and was told "They are running a bit behind today." I asked, "An hour is a bit behind?" "Yes it is." Okay, so I go back to my exam room and wait for another hour and still no surgeon, or anyone else for that matter. I was pretty upset at this point so I called my mother-in-law to see what the "normal" wait time is for civilian physicians, being that I'm in the miltary and haven't had to go off base for any medical services. She told me that an hour, perhaps an hour and a half for a specialist. So I waited a bit longer, because of my uncertainty. After waiting for two and one half hours, I gathered my stuff and began walking out. A surgeon walked up to me at this point and casually said "Sorry about the wait, we're running a bit behind." I asked if it was their normal practice for a patient to wait 2.5 hours to be seen and he said yes. I told him it was a waste of my time and I would find someone else to provide my care. At this point, the diva surgeon told me that "People have to wait for specialists, it's what happens, we had a few surguries this morning and in taking time to explain stuff to patients it tends to run over." My take was, he was more important because of his level of education and I was just a patient, therefore I would have to endure this neglectful care. I told him I would be filing a grievance with the military insurance to ensure that other Marines were not treated by his clinic. I was very nervous going to this appointment in the first place, because who wants surgery on their neck or back? Sitting for just shy of 3 hours between the waiting room and the exam room did nothing to alleviate this, if anything it was compounded by the high number of patients I saw still sitting in the waiting room for their turn at being neglected. Do not bother with this clinic or the doctors/nurses associated with it!!! The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, that is the only redeeming quality for this clinic.
